    Description
"Helmet" is the nickname of this piece originally sculpted byThomas J. Kuntz around 1998.
In actuality it is a miniature replica of an historical helmet ( armet) made by Austrian goldsmith Konrad Seusenhofer in the 16th century. It was presented by Holy Roman Emperor Maximillian I to HenryVIII in 1514. It was designed for pageants and tournaments. After his death it came into the possession of Will Somers, Hernry's court Jester.
This hand-made miniature helmet is cast in a special hybrid resin and professionally finished at the artist's studio. It features an articulated upper section that opens to a secret compartment!
