In the 1880's women collected pretty colorful pictures and pasted them in scrapbooks. When Christmas trees became more popular in the homes, the women used these pictures from their books to decorate the trees, thereby the term "Scraps". In the 1890's, the German printers added tinsel, angel hair and glitter to the scraps creating the first "Victorian Scraps Ornaments"--known today as die-cuts. Reproduced by OLD PRINT FACTORY, INC.
